JPG and JPEG are two filename extensions for the same image format. Converting photo batches to WebP can reduce delivery sizes, although the result depends on how the originals were encoded. Compare the original and converted preview before choosing the final quality.

How it works

  1. Drop your JPG or JPEG photos into the queue.
  2. Choose a quality preset and decide whether to cap the size at 2048 pixels or keep the full resolution.
  3. Inspect a photo at 100%, then download the ready WebP files in a single ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

Can I mix .jpg and .jpeg photos in one batch?

Yes. Both extensions represent JPEG images and are accepted together. The ready files on this page use the .webp extension.

Will every JPEG become smaller as WebP?

No. Already optimized photos may save little or even grow when changing formats. Review the displayed output size; this tool does not claim a fixed compression percentage.

Does 100% quality restore detail lost in a JPEG?

No. Re-encoding cannot reconstruct information already discarded by the original JPEG. Higher output quality can reduce additional loss but does not make the conversion lossless.

Can I keep my photo filenames?

Yes. Keep original names is the default. You can also add a prefix or use a custom name followed by a number for individual and ZIP downloads.
