Preview, rename and download. All in one place.
AVIF is useful for compact website images, but some editing and upload workflows still expect JPEG. This page keeps the output set to JPG and uses the browser's AVIF decoder where available, with a local decoder fallback when native decoding is unavailable.
How it works
- Select the AVIF files your editor or upload form cannot accept.
- Choose JPEG quality and a resize setting; transparent areas will become white.
- Check the ready JPG previews and download the batch as a ZIP.

Frequently asked questions
Why do transparent AVIF areas become white in JPG?
JPEG has no alpha channel. This converter places the decoded image on white before JPEG encoding. Use PNG or WebP output when you need transparency.
Will converting AVIF to JPG always reduce size?
No. AVIF can already be highly compressed, and JPEG output may be larger. This conversion is primarily for compatibility, so review the reported sizes.
Can the tool decode AVIF if my browser cannot open it natively?
The converter includes a local WebAssembly AVIF decoder fallback. It is loaded when native decoding is unavailable, instead of uploading the image to a server.
Are animated AVIF images preserved?
No. The converter exports a still image. Animation, original HDR precision and original metadata are not preserved in this JPEG workflow.
